Accessibility Statement
RWTH Aachen University strives to make its website accessible in accordance with national legislation implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies.
The following accessibility statement documents the current state of implementation for the domain you are visiting, in accordance with the Ordinance on the Creation of Accessible Information Technology pursuant to the Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (BITV NRW).
The website is continuously monitored through random sample testing.
Conformance can therefore only be determined for individual pages.
To assess the compliance of the entire website, every individual page would need to be checked, which is not practical for large websites. However, the evaluation of a representative sample of pages – i.e., a selection that covers all potential barriers – allows conclusions to be drawn about the accessibility of the website as a whole.
Status of Compatibility with Accessibility Requirements
This website partially complies with the BITV standards (Creation of Accessible Information Technology pursuant to the NRW Act on Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities).
Non-Accessible Content
The following content is not fully accessible:
Despite careful review, some words and text passages may appear in other languages without being correctly marked as such.
For embedded content such as YouTube videos or content from external databases or other sources, accessibility cannot be guaranteed.
Similarly, PDF documents internally linked and uploaded via the CMS may not meet accessibility standards.
Content in Easy Language and sign language is currently not available.
We are actively working to remove these barriers as quickly as possible.
Date of this Accessibility Statement
This statement was prepared on July 31, 2025.
